Steps to Access WSIB Physiotherapy

Step 1: Report the Injury

Tell your supervisor or employer about the injury immediately. They are required to report the accident to WSIB.

Step 2: Book Your Assessment

Contact us to schedule an initial assessment. No doctor’s referral is needed to start physiotherapy for a workplace injury.

Step 3: We Submit Your Reports

On your first visit, we will complete the necessary health professional reports and submit them directly to WSIB. We will also coordinate with your case manager.

While an employer or insurance provider might suggest a specific location, the decision is entirely yours. CARE Institute is a WSIB-registered provider at all three of our locations in Windsor and Essex. We are here to help you navigate your claim and focus on your recovery.

Direct Billing & No Out-of-Pocket Costs

  • CARE Institute is registered with WSIB: As a registered facility, we bill WSIB directly for your treatments.
  • No Upfront Payments: Once your claim is allowed, there are no out-of-pocket costs for your approved physiotherapy sessions.
  • Focus on Function: Our goals are to reduce your pain, document your "functional abilities" (what you can safely do at work), and help you return to your normal routine without re-injury.
